Analogy to Gartner’s Quadrant

  1. Leaders in the Gartner’s MQ – will be analogous to NY Times Bestseller’s list. It’s not as if other books are not worth reading, but the bestsellers are definitely something you may want to put on your short list.
  2. We have a Gartner’s MQ even at an individual level – where the skill is the X axis and Ambition is the Y axis. And you can place people in the 4 quadrants much like you do with companies. People with high skill (competence in a given domain) and high ambition (drive to succeed) end up as Leaders in society.
